Great Success for Young and Old
On February 16, 2008 the Peter M. Putnam Foundation had its 4th Annual Auction and Gala which was a wonderful success. It was a fabulous evening including Special speeches by Lindsay Chinn from The First Tee of Greater Seattle, Pete Fewing former Seattle University soccer coach and Director of Seattle SCORES, a poem by Melen Yemane who participates in the Seattle SCORES program, greetings and a very special visit from Chicago by Chris Turnley, Executive Director of the foundation and all of this evening was hosted by an energetic and entertaining local Celebrity, John Curley. The evening was a great success and raised over $30,000 to benefit local children like Melen and Lisa be the best they can through participation in sports. Some more of the highlights include a delightfully competitive cake auction that raised over $3,000, our top selling item: Husky Season tickets and a generous paddle raise of $10,000 that will go directly to sponsoring these children.
