New Foundation Changes Lives Through Sports
Peter M. Putnam Foundation founded to assist children and communities by improving and providing access to youth sports programs in Washington. Founded in the spirit of Peter Putnam, who tragically died as a result of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, vCJD, in October 2003, The Peter M. Putnam Foundation (PMP) was created to carry on his passionate love of sports to those who may not be able to get involved due to the costs associated with youth sports programs today.

Putnam Foundation sponsors 184 kids for The First Tee Seattle
One hundred eighty-four kids will receive scholarships for The First Tee of Greater Seattle program for the 2006 golf season, thanks to a grant from the Peter M. Putnam Foundation. The $5,520 gift will cover all program fees for youngsters ages 8 to 18.

The Foundation had amazing Kick-off in Spokane and Seattle where it was joined by 150 community leaders to mark the launching of an organization that will benefit many kids and families in the Northwest by providing access to the positive influence of organized Sports Programs.
